Description: Custom Home
Detail: This is a custom home we designed and built to reflect the style of an old, rustic, cabin. The cabin has a loft, first floor, and basement. In order to achieve the "rustic" look, a variety of methods were used. The roofing is a new, but rustable, metal roof sheething. Reclaimed lumber was used as the main ceiling rafters, the porch framing members, and many of the details such as trim, posts, and railings. Where relcaimed lumber wasn't possible, due to structure, cost, or availability, a custom painter was able to mimic the rustic look. An "Old World" style of stone and grout technique was also used to add to the rustic look.

Detail: This was a house that was designed by Gerrit Bothof as a spec home. The style has strong Tudor influences, yet incorperates recent design trends, such as the large, 2-door garage, open floor plan, and large entertainment room upstairs.

Detail: This was a new custom home. It is built in the Country style, and has a asphalt shingle roof, hardi-board siding, and brick wainscott. The brick theme carries throughout the house.
